Edenburg Lodge No. 550 is made up of men from all walks of life - fathers, veterans, teachers, business owners, tradesmen, and community leaders - united by a shared commitment to character, service, and brotherhood.

We don’t all come from the same background - but we stand on the same level. And most importantly, we strive every day to spread the light.

The Appendant Bodies of Freemasonry

The Blue Lodge is the foundation of Freemasonry. It is where a man receives the three degrees of Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason. The 3rd degree, or the Master Mason degree, is the highest level a person can reach. From there, many Masons choose to continue their journey through appendant bodies which offer further light, fellowship, and opportunities for service and charitable work.

Some of the options available are the Scottish Rite, The York Rite, The Order of the Eastern Star, and the Shriners. Each have their own separate purpose, meetings, and charities - but all of them are members of the Blue Lodge.
